How I Work
Over the years my practice has taught me that making less with more intention is always the better choice. That principle shapes everything I do. How I make, what I make, who I make with, and what I do with what's left over.
Making Thoughtfully
Whether I'm painting, printing or sewing, I try to use only what I need and find purpose in what remains. I collect my offcuts, my scrap paper, my leftover fabric and find ways to bring them back into the work. Sometimes that leads to a one-off piece. Sometimes it inspires a collaboration. The form changes depending on the medium I'm working in, but the thinking stays the same. Nothing goes to waste if I can help it.
Making Sustainably
I aim to use the most sustainable processes and materials I can find. I print locally and in small quantities, work with Australian suppliers wherever possible, and only make what is necessary. I'd rather make one thing well than many things carelessly.
Making Together
Collaboration matters to me and I'm thoughtful about who I work with. I do my research. When I partner with a brand or business it's because something in their values genuinely aligns with mine. I'm not interested in volume. I'm interested in meaning.
Welcoming Everyone
This space is for everyone. Regardless of age, culture, background, gender identity, sexual identity or ability, you are welcome here and I want you to feel it. Art has always felt like a place where everyone belongs, and that belief sits at the centre of everything I make and every space I create. I am committed to making sure that engaging with my work feels safe, inclusive and genuinely welcoming for all.
If you'd like to work together, get in touch and tell me everything I need to know about you, your brand, and what you have in mind.
